GistPro – Clean and Minimal Premium WordPress Theme
Theme Installation
Via WordPress
Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
Go to the Appearance panel, then Themes.
Click Add New.
Upload the Zip File of the theme i.e. gistpro.zip
After installing the theme Click Activate button.
Via FTP
Use your FTP software to browse to wp-content/themes folder.
Extract gist.zip and upload the folder.
Once it’s uploaded, go to your WordPress Admin, browse to Appearance > Themes.
Click the Activate link.

Adding Contents
Posts
To create a post on your site, it’s easy. Follow the below-listed methods.
Go to Administration Panels
Go to Posts and Click on Add New
Give the title of the post and add the content
Set the featured image for the post from the right corner.
Set that post in the Category.
Click on Publish Button.
Add more post like the above methods.
Pages
To create a page on your site, it’s easy. Follow the below-listed methods.
Go to Administration Panels
Go to Page and Click on Add New
Give the title of the page and add the content
Set the featured image for the post from a right corner.
Click on Publish Button.
Add more page of the above methods.
Categories
To create categories, follow the below steps.
Go to Administration Panels
Go to Posts > Categories
Give the title of the category
Click on Save
The added category will appear on the Add Post Page.
Widgets
Gist Comes with Added Custom Widget for Advertisement, Popular Posts, Featured Posts, Social Icons, and Author Information. You can use the available widgets and custom widgets on available widget area.
This theme has Primary Sidebar area inside Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Sidebar. You can add the available widget inside there.
Gist Advertisement Widget
This widget is specially developed to show the advertisement. You can place this widget on every widget’s area. You have widgets area for the single post as well, place this widget on that widget area to add advertisement.
Title: Title of the Widget
Advertisement Code: Enter the Adsense code or similar code for advertisement.
Image: You can select the image for advertisement as well.
Link: In case of Image, you can put the link for advertisement.
Gist Featured Post Widget
This widget is specially developed to show recent post or selected category post on the sidebar on the sidebar.
Title: Title of the Widget
Category: Select the category to display the post.
Number enter the number to show the number of posts.
Gist Popular Post Widget
This widget is specially developed to show popular post on the sidebar on the sidebar.
Title: Title of the Widget
Select Option: Select the options to display the post.
Number enter the number to show the number of posts.
Gist Author Widget
This widget will help to show the information about the author. You can check the demo to know more about it.
Title: Title for the popular Widget
Image: Select the image for the author.
Description: Enter a short description for the author.
If the Social menu is created on Appearance > Customize > Menus automatically the social icons will display on the sidebar.
More Settings are inside Appearance > Customize,
Site Title, Tagline & Logo
Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity
Click on Select Logo
Select the logo.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Colors
Go to Appearance > Customize > Colors
Select the required color for the background and Site Title.
Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
You can get more color options inside Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options > Color Options. Check there.
Header Image
Go to Appearance > Customize > Header Image
Add the header image.
If the preview is fine, click on Save && Publish to save the changes.
Background Image
Go to Appearance > Customize > Background Image
Select the best image for the site background.
Select the required setting for the background.
If the preview is fine, click on Save && Publish to save the changes.
Menus
This theme comes with one menu locations. Primary Menu and Social Menu.
Primary Menu
This menu will appear on below the site title.
Create a menu and add the items on the menu.
Set the menu on the Primary.
Save the Menu.
Social Menu
Social Menu will appear on Right Side of the Logo(As in Demo)
Add the link to social Menu(Use Custom Link to create this menu)
In the custom link, add a link to Facebook Menu(www.facebook.com/username)
Add the menu and follow the same steps for Twitter, Instagram.
Select the Social Menu for this.

Gist Theme Options
Header Options
Header Options section inside the customizer helps you to change the layout of the header and manage sticky menu.
Header Types:
GistPro comes with 3 different types of the header.
Normal Menu Position: This is the default position and looks same as the free version.
Top Menu Position: Menu will remain on the top.
Left Logo Position: Logo will move to left and menus on the right.
Sticky Menu
It helps to enable the menu to become sticky. Checked to make the menu sticky.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options > Header Options > Enable Sticky Menu
Checked to enable and unchecked to disable.
Blog Section Options
This section includes Sidebar Options, Content Show Options, Excerpt Options, Featured Image Options, Meta Show hide Options.
Sidebar Options
Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Section Options > Sidebar Section
Check all the available options in the drop-down
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Select Preferred Sidebar from this Options section of customizer helps you to change the layout of your site. This theme has Right Sidebar, Left Sidebar, Middle Column and No sidebar Options.
You can change the sidebar on the individual pages as well. Check the meta field on the individual post as for that settings.
Right Sidebar: If you select the right sidebar, only the right sidebar will appear and the left sidebar will remain empty.
Left Sidebar: If you select the left sidebar, only the left sidebar will appear and the right sidebar will remain empty.
Middle Column: Middle Column options will help to hide the sidebar on your site and content will be in its position.
No Sidebar: No sidebar options is useful to hide both the sidebar, left and right.
Blog Page Column
You can change the column of blog page via this option. You can make maximum up to 3 column for the blog page. It will be applied on all pages including archive as well.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Section Options > Select Blog Page Column
Check all the available options in the drop-down
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button on the top to save the changes.
Masonry Options
You can easily change the layout to normal and masonry.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Section Options > Masonry Options
Select Masonry or Normal from the options.
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button on the top to save the changes.
Content Show Options
You can show the content either from Content or Excerpt. Choose the preferred options from the drop-down.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Section Options > Show Content From
Check all the available options on the drop-down
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button on the top to save the changes.
Excerpt Length
With the help of this options, enter the excerpt length in Words.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Section Options > Enter Excerpt Length
Enter the length for the blog excerpt length.
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button on the top to save the changes.
Featured Image Options
The Gist has 4 type of featured image options for blog page.
Full Image
Right Image
Left Image
Hide Image
Select the required image layout for the home page. The default is Full Image.
Meta Show/Hide Options
If you want to hide the meta tags like date, author etc on your website, use this setting.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Section Options > Meta Show/Hide Options
Checked to hide the meta fields.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Read More Text
Looking for the option to change the default Read More text,
Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Section Options > Read More Text
Enter your own text for Read More.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Single Post Options
This options will help to manage the content of the single page.
Related Post Options Text
The related post appears just below the end of content in the single page. The related post will appear from the same category of the above post.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Single Post Options > Related Post Options
Checked to show the related post.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
You can get more options for the related post in Premium Version.

Checked on Show/Hide Featured Image on Single Post
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Slider Section Options
Carousel slider will appear on the top of the home page below menus. Check demos to know where the slider appears.
For slider settings,
Go to Appearance > Customize > Slider Section Options
Choose the required slider for the category.
First Enable the slider from the enable slider setting.
You can choose the number of sliders
Show/Hide meta from the slider.

Typography Options
The gist has options to manage typography. Available options to manage typography are,
Font Family URL
Font Family Name
Font Size
Line Height &
Line Spacing
Font Family URL
Google Fonts are used for font family. If you want to change the font family, go to Google Fonts Page.
Select the required font.
Copy the link, Example link: //fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans
Paste this link in this field. Make sure, the link is similar with the above example format.
You should change the font family name below to get the font changed.
Font Family Name
You should need to write the font family name.
See the below image to know about the name of font family for the select font family URL.
Example: Open Sans, sans-serif
Hope this will work for you.
You can change the font size, letter spacing and line height from the given options.
Note: You can use different Font for Headings and Paragraphs. Check font family section meticulously.
Sticky Sidebar Options
Go to Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options> Sticky Sidebar Option
Checked to enable the sticky sidebar.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Author Info Options
Go to Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options> Author Info Options
Checked to show author info in Single Post.
You can manage more author settings from Users > All Users and Edit the Users to get more options.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Footer Options
If you are looking for copyright text, go to top options in theme, you can find inside footer options.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options> Footer Options
Check the options for copyright text.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options> Footer Options > Go To Top
Checked to enable go top in the footer.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options> Footer Options > Powered By Text
Enter own powered by text. Leave blank to remove the text. You can write own HTML for the text as well.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
You can check other available options inside footer section.
Extra Options
Extra option including breadcrumb option, breadcrumb text and Search placeholder. Check this options for enabling breadcrumb in inner pages.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options> Footer Options > Extra Options
Enable Breadcrumb and Change You Are Here text.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options> Footer Options > Extra Options
Write your own placeholder for search widget.
If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button at the top to save the changes.
Color Options
GistPro has color options for every section. Check the available color options inside Appearance > Customize > Gist Theme Options > Color Options.

Choose the required color from the above color options.
Pagination Options
Want to change the default pagination to numeric? Check the pagination options,
Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Section Options > Pagination Options
Select the required pagination.
